Happy Birthday, USA!

Here is a little something put out by our very own .GOV on this auspicious day in our history.

Fourth of July is Independence Day

"Independence Day honors the birthday of the United States of America and the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It's a day of picnics and patriotic parades, a night of concerts and fireworks, and a reason to fly the American flag."

Here you will find lots of cool info on the history of the day, facts on the American flag, & be able to view the original Declaration of Independence at the National Archive and more!

There are also tips on grilling, travel and boating safety as well as fireworks info. Be sure to check out the links to virtual visits to the Liberty Bell & the celebration in Washington, D.C.

Happy Fourth of July!
(& don't forget the watermelon!)
